This is link is a podcast We Travel There about the Latrobe Valley – there are so many things to do.

Our top ten things to do in the Latrobe Valley

1. Morwell River Falls.

This three levelled waterfall is a locals secret, its located near Boollarra. Which is also worth a stop and look around.

2. Tarra Bulga National Park (and two waterfalls)

A very popular destination, one the Latrobe Valley’s best-known tourist attractions. Ok, this is one is well known, you can get through Traralgon or a bush track – I don’t recommend from near Morwell River Falls.

3. Historic township Walhalla

Walhalla is also a well known destination with history steeped in the ravines, reamed with gold.

Here about the history, crime and paranormal (there is so much, you should still go on the ghost tour run by the town.)

4. Mathison Park, Churchill

This is a paradise with easy access, historic ruins, a lake, walking paths, playgrounds, ducks… It’s the perfect place to rest or run.

5. Walk the Moe to Yallourn rail trail (stop in at Lake Narracan)

As a railway it was used for carting coal, only on two occasions it moved passengers, both very prominent people. Now you can walk this path.

6. Arc Gallery in Yinnar

An artist run gallery in the small township of Yinnar. Many different mediums are on display, all talented.

7. Kernot Lake, Immigration Park and Gippsland Heritage walk

This man made lake off the Princes Hwy in Morwell has a beautiful gazebo, a great walking trail and loads of local information. Things that are cherished by residents. If you walk beneath the bridge you’ll find the next location…

8. Waterhole Creek walk

Beautiful aboriginal artworks along another path between the gum trees, along the path of waterhole creek.

9. Traralgon Railway Reserve

A beautiful place away from the hustle and bustle of the thriving shopping district Traralgon boasts, here birds nest, sing and greet you at the gate. It’s a place to relax with a book, or walk away the tension of the road.

10. Edward Hunter Reserve Moe

This reserve also could have been called a rail reserve with it’s history to the railway. Take the boardwalk around the lake.
