Gippsland is a large block of land in the south-east of Victoria named after NSW’s Governor Gipps, he paid for its exploration. The area has the snow fields of Victoria, some of the greatest beaches including the ninety mile beach. Some old forests are here, to mountainous cliff terrains. It’s gorgeous in the autumn and Spring as mist or fog clings to the country side. The food grown here is delicious. Gippsland is a vast, ever changing landscape and mostly only known for Lakes Entrance, Wilson’s Promontory and Phillip Island. But exploring it will yield bountiful treasures of experiences and views.
