things-to-do-in-moe Fishing, shopping, walking, and other things to do in Moe or Newborough, Victoria.

Most people know of Moe in the East of Victoria you probably recognise the name, you’ve probably driven past it so many times on the way to Lakes Entrance, why not stop in and see what this amazing town has to offer. Newborough is on the east side of Narracan Creek. It’s a beautifully serene place that separates the towns. There is more to this town than the McDonald’s at the western Edge of town. There is fishing, swimming, boating, shopping, parks and so much more. Moe is a great base to explore Walhalla and Mt. Baw Baw from.

In Moe and Newborough you get a good sense of being in a Valley here, you can see the back of the Strzelecki Ranges to the South and the Great Dividing Range to the North. (Great for photos).

Narracan Creek used to be a popular swimming spot. During the winter, after heavy rainfall is known to flood, monitor conditions carefully, it can flow very fast. These are the conditions in which the trout like to spawn in so, once it recedes there still maybe some extra brown trout around.
