yn-christmas-festival-fb-imageFor the third year in a row Yallourn North is putting on the Yallourn North Christmas Festival, to bring the festivities in for the yuletide. This year the shops are looking at dressing up as well as the houses that lit up the town last year. The festival will last more than 12 days, starting on the 1st of December. Deck the North with rocks.

Last year Haunted Hills Tours presented a free Christmas light and history tour. Christmas past and present collide at Yallourn North for Christmas 2015

The tour walked past some of the best-dressed homes in Yallourn North, and we will be offering up stories of how the former Brown Coal Mine township, and neighbouring Yallourn, celebrated Christmas.
We meandered the local streets,  shared historical information about the township and its past residents, and the spirit of Christmas.

This year we’re offering a promotion for our regular Yallourn North tours.

Kevin Bechaz of Cinematic Randomness reviewed this evening, you can read it here.

We’re going to put some of the stories up on Youtube, others have been integrated into the People of Yallourn North Tour.
