While researching Rosedale, I discovered a very famous designer. In death, George was outshined by his apprentice and only mentioned as a footnote in his story. How does that happen? I was curious, so again I researched.
He had a highly esteemed career for many years including apprenticing another famous Melbourne architect.
His life circumstances reduced his standing, resulting in him dying without an obituary.
George built the Rosedale mechanics institute.
