Is this a tragic architect? The architect who designed the Rosedale Mechanics Institute in Victoria, Gippsland – he was not a local and travelled widely. He designed many properties and some you might know even if you have never set foot in Gippsland.

He had a highly esteemed career for many years including apprenticing another famous Melbourne architect.
His life circumstances reduced his standing,
resulting in him dying without an obituary.
